(More customer reviews)These kind of infrared emitting devices are the best and probably cheapest way for heating up a cold-blooded animal, simply because it heats the animal from the inside out and thoroughly, meaning no hot spots that might potentially burn your pet(s). Very durable and long lasting, it'll last for years unless of course very misused. I currently have a 40 gallon one and it has lasted since the beginning. I have submerged it in water(accidently, giant water bowl bursted) and it still works flawlessly. It is a fantastic heater. However, if you are looking for something that'll heat the whole tank and create a more humid climate for your pet, than a search on, preferrably the ZooMed undertank heater.
