(More customer reviews)I would like to write a review for the deicer, not the floating attachment only, but I cannot find the deicer itself anymore...
I just put this de-icer in use for a couple of weeks. It keeps the water open pretty well (a hole about the size of a serving plate) when we got single digit temperature at night. I sometimes see fish swimming around it. The floating attachment looks like a gray stone. When the whole thing is put in water, only the top of the attachment is above water and the big disc stays below, which makes the de-icer appears way smaller and very nice looking. The cord is sturdy, but a little bit short. I ordered another outdoor heavy duty extension cord, used an extension cord connection housing, and wrap the housing with a lot of plastic food wrapping and fastened them with plastic tapes. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rather than 5.
I don't know how long it will keep working this well. I strongly recommend it based on how great it is now.
