(More customer reviews)Got this product less than a year ago for $24.99 at a 'Jacks Aq. & Pets' store and for no apparent reason, the rock no longer heats up. No damage to the cord. Rock itself also appears in good shape. So Broken less than a year later doesn't bode well for this product, esp. for price I paid.
Box itself mentions no warranty, although I contacted customer service by email (and will update this review if it gets me anywhere).
Also, when I walk in recently to see if I could get a replacement at the store, the sales girl right away warned that some worry heat rocks are dangerous - if lizard gets too hot and doesn't move itself, lizard could burn its feet or belly.
When the product was originally purchased, a different sales rep. said that the only thing to worry about was 'cold spots' where part of the rock is warm and another is cool, which could cause problems for the lizard.
So these are things to think about when buying this type of product.
I do give three stars since the lizards (2) seem fine on this rock and would lounge out on it often when the rock did heat up.
Just wanted to write this review for others to find and be wary of this product and similar ones.
