(More customer reviews)I needed this heater (with a thermostat) for the crawl space under my downstairs bathroom - it's not a heated area and not easy to get into once the snow falls. This has worked WONDERFULLY. We've had a couple of power outages, but it's easy to reset with the remote - I don't have to touch the heater so I can do it through the window into the basement. It does have a hum which might be distracting in a bedroom or living room, but it's helpful to me because I can hear it through the floor and know it's still working.
