(More customer reviews)We purchased this item to keep a small horse waterer from freezing. The waterer is automatic and is about 2 ft by 2 ft. We've wrapped the controller in plastic and hung it on the side of the shed and then place the heater tube in the water. Water always stays thawed. The unit has worked flawlessly through blizzards, etc.
