My dishwasher is actually a Kenmore (made by whirlpool) so always double check your model number.
This is an electrical part. I installed it myself but if you are not experienced in such repairs, please get professional help. Safety First!

It works and my dishes aren't wet anymore.

This is a dishwasher heating element. The purpose of this part is to heat the water on sanitizing cycles and also to dry the dishes at the end of the wash. This item is located at the bottom of the machine and is held down with washers and a screw cap underneath. Replacing this element will also increase the heating ability because most elements over time become caked over with calcium.
