(More customer reviews)I bought this unit as a way to heat my 100 gallon water tank for my horses. It works really well in my rubber-maid tank, no leaks or anything. The water temperature is cool to touch, not warm as other people have described but then I have a 100 gallon tank. However, for anyone that is concerned about their electric bill, take it from me, it will double it. I did not realize this. I will have to look for another solution. I wish I had researched this first. A friend told me that using this 1,500-watt device is like having 15 100 watt light bulbs on 24 hours a day. Enough said.
