(More customer reviews)This is our second season with the Pelonis radiator type heater, and we still love it. This heater is used in a large master bedroom; with the bedroom door closed, it keeps the room cozy and allows us to turn down the whole house thermostat a degree or two.
It takes a while for the unit to heat up, so initially I turn it to the highest, most energy hungry setting. Once the oil inside is heated and heat begins radiating from the unit, I turn the control know to the middle setting for good comfort and less enery use.
We like the quietness of the heater, silent except for the occasional clicks of the thermostat kicking in. There is not filter to clean and though the fins become warm, there's not the danger of incurring serious burn from contact. The remote control feature is useless for us, so much so that I have no idea where the controller is now.
Yes, this heater consumes energy as do all other space heaters, so to equalize this output one should turn down the whole house heat to compensate. We are very happy with out Pelonis radiator electric heater.
