(More customer reviews)This heater is an excellent addition to heating. While I know the US is not familiar with these, these heaters are a staple for home heating in other countries. In New Zealand the Hardware stores have large displays of these in every winter.
By using this heater, that even after insulating and curtains etc still is damn cold, we are able to be very warm, often too warm, that I turn it off for some periods. So far the $20 of gas has lasted two full weeks, and is still going strong, it uses the same bottle as your BBQ.
An excellent way to keep heating costs way down. But be smart, keep children away, in other countries you can but safety guards. Make sure there is a little oxygen (it has a Oxygen depletion cutoff and tip switch). Always turn off both at the heater and valve. The only other thing is a by product of the burning is water, but in the dry months of snow its a blessing.
Check local regulations re non vented space heaters. We are so glad we brought this heater.
