I bought mine, and there was NO thermostat what so ever included in the box. So what you may want to do before being confused when you receive your heater, is to make a decision what type of thermostat / timer switch you will want to use.
The specs from Dimplex's own manual for this unit reads:
"A thermostat control (either wall or built in) is required to operate this unit. Optional built-in thermostat is positioned below the element for superior temperature control."

I own several Dimplex stoves, and wanted to try this one out. I have a friend who will want to install this unit in her bathroom. Compared to the Dimplex Stoves, this unit is a little noisier so I ruled out installing in my bedrooms for now. I have a Dimplex CS3311 stove set in each bedroom, both operating off of the LUX WIN100 plug-in thermostat (using for several years, NO problems at all with LUX WIN100 plug-in thermostats ever)
I just ordered a LUX ELV4 Thermostat for use on this Dimplex wall heater:
Lux Products ELV4 Programmable Line Voltage Thermostat
For This 1000 watt Dimplex wall heater.
Be careful if you order the Dimplex Wall Thermostats, some of them are NOT rated in Wattage for these wall heaters -- you may want to check other sources for the true Wattage that the Dimplex wall Thermostats are rated at for especially for "120 VOLTS ac" models [such as the above Dimplex TWH1011CW unit] before you buy one. I had to return one as it only showed 220 volts ac rating and was not rated to work on 1000 watts at 120 volts ac.
This TWH1011CW unit does throw a good amount of heat for 1000 watts. Would be ideal for a small hall or bathroom.
** I haven't found anywhere that I can purchase the OPTIONAL "BUILT-IN" THERMOSTAT as of yet. If anyone locates a vendor that sells the "* Dimplex INTERNAL "Built-in" "#WHAT1A" Single Pole thermostat kit please leave a comment?
