- Produces plenty of heat, even on the low setting. Feels nice, like standing in the sunlight or next to an oven.
- Although it emits some light, it is only a dull orange glow, much dimmer than other heaters of similar design. It is dim enough that you could use it at night without it keeping you awake.
- The tip-over switch on the bottom is long -- this means you _won't_ have it accidentally turning itself off just because the carpet is a little uneven and didn't reach the switch!
The bad:
- It doesn't tilt down. It tilts from vertical (points straight at the wall) to horizontal (points straight at the ceiling), and the angles in-between, but that is the limit of its range -- there is no way to get it to point downwards. So if you're thinking of putting it on a shelf and having it heat you from above, forget it -- this was clearly designed for floor use only.
