(More customer reviews)The heater is designed to only adjust the aquarium temp no more than 7 degrees higher than the ambient air temp. This is stated plainly in the instructions. Works perfect on my 6 gallon Fluval tank. It is keeping the tank temp at 76 steady. We keep the thermostat in our house at 70. Very nice looking heater, blends in with the tank background perfectly.
